IT Skills Development in the Workforce Project
EMD is pleased to have been invited to take part in this project and we are currently supporting learners from 13 different companies across the region towards their achievement of a full ITQ level 1. The employees work for SMEs from the LSC priority sectors who do not work in an IT related position but need to improve their IT skills within the workforce.

The regional Digital 2010 action plan (which addresses the IT and digital skills needs within the Yorkshire & Humber region) means that Information Technology (IT) is recognised as a key skill needed for employees.

We hope that we will have more employees with a recognised level of IT capability and increased confidence in the use of IT within their work. Individuals will be progressing to further IT and other qualifications with EMD and other providers.
