In the last few years schools have seen an increase in the number of students who have English as a second language.
Our experience has shown that it is often costly for schools to employ a member of staff who is specifically trained in teaching English as a foreign language, and therefore the special needs department is often given the task of dealing with these students.
EMD will provide your school tuition on an hourly paid basis that is specifically geared to each student, or student group. Each student is given an initial diagnostic test and from these results an individual learning programme is set up.
All of EMD’s school tutors are experienced university graduates, highly qualified in the field of EFL and have QTS. Prior to their work with EMD, they have all worked in schools. All tutors also have a recent Enhanced Disclosure form from the Criminal Records Bureau.
Many of EMD’s teachers speak a number of community languages, such as Urdu, Polish, Czech, or Russian, as well as English.
