Provider Train
EMD is pleased to be invited to participate in the Provider Train Project, delivering the Level 5 Additional Diploma in Teaching English (ESOL) in the Lifelong Learning Sector to teachers and Skills for Life practitioners from across Yorkshire and Humber.
The post-graduate level course is a particular specialist-training course for Skills for life ESOL teachers and is currently being delivered to teachers from 9 other local organisations and of course, our own teachers.
The project will be running until March 2010 and EMD is planning to maintain a suite of teacher training qualifications throughout the next 3 years. 'Provider Train' is a new skills initiative that will develop additional training provider resources across the Yorkshire and Humber region and is funded by the LSC and European Social Fund.
The project is designed to improve the capacity and capability of training within small organisations with less than 50 staff by increasing the number of assessors, verifiers and other delivery opportunities, which will enable the delivery of occupationally relevant qualifications and provide responsive and flexible work based learning.
