Many people in the UK decide to travel before going to university or starting their careers. Whilst traveling abroad, one of the best ways to support yourself financially is to teach English in the countries you visit. Countless teaching jobs are out there, just waiting for you to apply!
Our TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course will enable you to plan lessons and create and select activities and materials for your learners. The course will give you an introduction to TEFL and give you the skills, knowledge and confidence to find paid teaching work, either in the UK or abroad.
EMD offers a full introductory TEFL training course of 150 hours with experienced and qualified tutors. Before starting the course, you will be given pre-course tasks. The TEFL course is then split into two halves: Part 1 is face-to-face training with one of our experienced tutors. Part 2 is an online learning course, which gives you the opportunity to further explore the world of TEFL, deepening and focusing your skills in different contexts.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive the 'Certificate in TEFL', accredited by a national awarding body. You will also receive a written reference from your tutor for you to submit with your initial job applications.
